2020-2022 BSED & BEED Graduates or earlier including unit earners (18 units) under the OLD CURRICULUM are now ALLOWED to take September 2022 LET.
An adjusted resolution made rounds online and gained the attention of hopeful teachers who were notified by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), preventing graduates from the years 2021 and 2022 from taking the September 2022 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET).
Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) and Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) graduates of 2021 onwards were previously urged by PRC Resolution No. 15 series 2022, signed on May 30, 2022, by the PRC Board for Professional Teachers, to register in the LET’s next schedule.
After numerous educators and aspiring teachers pleaded for LET this year rather than waiting until March 2022, particularly for individuals who are still on the old curriculum but will graduate in 2021 or later, the encouraging news came.
Beginning with March 2023 LET and onwards, the Enhanced Table of Specification (TOS) for the subjects of the LET produced by the Professional Regulatory Board for Professional Teachers and authorized by the Commission under Board Resolution No. 11 (s.2022) will be used.
All BEEd and BSEd graduates will be eligible to participate in 2023 LET and subsequent programs regardless of graduation year. Graduates of BEEd and BSEd prior to the issuance of CHED Memorandum Order Nos. 74 and 75, as well as those who were impacted by the delayed implementation of the new curriculum by Teacher Education Institutions, are urged to take refresher courses to link the knowledge and learning outcomes gap between the old and new curricula.
Graduates who have taken or achieved their eighteen (18) education units under the old curriculum will be endorsed to September 2022 LET, whereas those who have taken or gained their eighteen (18) education units under the new curriculum will be eligible to take the LET commencing in the year 2023.
PRC plans to conduct the fourth batch of LETs on June 26, 2022, for the 2020-2021 test that was postponed owing to the pandemic, apart from September 2022 LET.
