The Philippines comes in second last in reading, math, and science achievement, according to 2022 data that was made public today, December 5, by the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA).
The country scored lowest in reading comprehension and math and scientific literacy when it first participated in PISA in 2018.
The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) administers PISA every three years, which evaluates the academic achievement of 15-year-olds in participating nations in the aforementioned areas. The results indicate the participants’ capacity to handle obstacles in the real world.
In the 2022 study, China ranked top overall, and the Dominican Republic ranked lowest overall.
